Languedoc Roussillon vineyard is
one of the older of France as testify the Greek amphora and Roman wine cups found
in the archaeological sites. The Greeks have planted the first vineyards and the
Romans did develop it. After a regression of the vineyard (due to the large number
of invasions), it increased again thanks to the monks. The wine we produce
is made from grapes partly grown on the terroir of Larzac terraces. It's a Mediterranean
climate with hot and dry summer and soft winter with irregular rainfalls. There
is different kind of soil: alluvium, stony terraces, hard and soft limestone,
mass of fallen earth or glacis of limestone, schist, conglomerates and marls.
It's a terroir with a lot of typicity that gives quality and specific wines. MAP
